CMS Featured Layout!

I am excited to announce a new regular post here at CMS...Featured Layout! Every other week we will feature a layout that has been linked up for our current challenge! This will give Color Me Scrappy followers a chance to see some more inspiration for the color scheme and will give us a chance to highlight some of the beautiful work you all submit to us!! The featured artist will have the opportunity to display the CMS Featured Layout badge on their blogs as well as receiving a RAK from us as appreciation for playing along with Color Me Scrappy!

Our first featured layout was chosen because they stepped out of their comfort zone to create with the current color scheme. I know the the color purple is probably the least favorite color for scrappers to work with. I was happy that Rochelle stuck with it and created this beautiful page!!!

Why do YOU like Color Challenges?

Or if you don't...why you should!!! Since taking over Color Me Scrappy, a lot of scrappers have expressed to me that color challenges are their least favorite scrapbook challenge. I hope to change that perception and make color challenges fun for everyone!!

I like color challenges because they help me use my stash and make me mix up paper collections that I may not have before! I like to go in search of papers that work for the challenge! I asked the Color Me Scrappy design team to share what they like about color challenges and here is what they shared...

Mary Bennetts - "because it makes me use colours I normally wouldn't use, like purple!"

Debi Clark - "I just love finding the colours in the palette...it's always a pleasure when I have matched them."

Lisa Haiss - "Color challenges make me use colors that are not my go to colors and they also make me  put together combos that I normally wouldn't use."

Lynn Lefevre - "...Color challenges help me step out of my comfort zone and I like that.  The challenges are unique and can be incorporated  with other challenges."

Stephanie DiSabato - "It helps me scrap with photos our of chronological order. The color scheme usually brings certain photos or emotions in mind and then I pick my photos.  I like that approach to scrapping."

Valerie Andrieux - "It makes me use different colors than the ones I usually choose and it's fun to look for a way  to include all of them."

For added fun... use one of the color schemes in the college below and create a project. Get out of your comfort zone and have fun with color!! Challenge #61

Good Morning and welcome to a new month of challenges here at Color Me Scrappy!!! I am so excited to see all of the new interest in our site and I hope that we get a lot of participation for our upcoming challenges! Our May challenges will stay just color challenges but starting with June and a new DT, there will be some added fun to the color schemes. The design team call is going great! I can already tell that I will have a hard decision to make! If you haven't had the chance, please check out all of the information regarding the call in the post below along with a fun added challenge to play along with. Even if you aren't applying to the team, you are welcome to play along with the challenge and a chance to win the prize being given away. Speaking of prizes, here is what you are playing for this month...
