Challenge #39

June 1st.  Wow.  Summer is just about here!  I just wish the rainy/stormy season would end ... all of the tornadoes through the heartland have just been devastating ... we've even had tornadoes in Michigan!  Last Tuesday the tornado sirens were going off in the little town that I live in.  I had just bought a weather radio and we had literally set it up the day before ... I was sitting here watching the news, that thing went off and scared the bejezus out of me!  Luckily, the storms broke up before they got to us, though!

It's that time again!

 

We are looking for some new members to add to our already existing, very talented team of designers.  We are excited that some of our DT members will be staying on for another term, but there will be some new openings

 

AND

 

If you think you would make a great addition to our team, we want to hear from you!  Each of our challenges has shown us that there is a tremendous amount of talent out there.  Never been on a design team, no worries.  We welcome new faces and new talent.  In fact, we encourage it!

DT Member requirements:

• Term commitments from July 1 - October 31.
• Facebook account - this is how we communicate with our DT.  It is a private group were all of the challenges will be posted.
• Followers of blog AND Facebook page.
• Keep and active personal blog that is updated frequently.  Your blog must be updated with the new challenge on reveal day with a link back to Color Me Scrappy.
• Commit to completing 2 layouts per month.
• Comment on participants entries (THIS IS A MUST!).  Any team member not adhering to this rule will be promptly removed from the team so please make sure you can do this before applying.

• 3 examples of your work.
• A short bio which will be used on our website if you are chosen.

Challenge #38

This term is just flying by for me.  Maybe it's because school is coming to a close soon and I know that my scrappy time will decrease a bit during the summer.  How does the kids being out of school effect your scrappy time?  I know that when my boys were small, there would be many nights when I would stay up late because I knew I could sneak a nap in the following day.  Now a days, my boys can entertain themselves quite nicely and I can usually get a page done with no interruptions.

I'm really enjoying each and every challenge that is revealed.  Some, a bit more challenging than others, but fun none the less.  We will be having a DT Call very soon, so be on the lookout for that!  The current term ends the end of June, so we'll be looking for some fresh talent shortly!

CHALLENGE #37

I don't know about you, but I'm EXTREMELY happy that the weather has seemed to break and that its finally getting warmer!  (as I type this post, Al Roker on the Today show is talking about SNOW in the Denver area!!) I was at my limit for cold and snow!  Now that you're able to get outside and enjoy the fresh air, will your scrappy time decrease?  I know mine does, it seems that the summer season is so short that I want to spend as much time outside as possible!
